Bavaria C57: Why This Yacht is Perfect for Groups of up to 10

The Bavaria C57 is the flagship of Bavaria Yachts — the largest and most fully equipped boat in the range of one of the world's leading yacht builders. Built for those who regard sailing as a life experience, not a sport. For groups of up to 10 people, it is the ideal combination of space, comfort and performance.

Technical specifications

Length: 17.35 m (57 feet)

Beam: 5.04 m

Draft: 2.10 m (standard) / 1.70 m (shoal draft)

Displacement: 18,200 kg

Engine: Volvo Penta 80 hp

Year: recent edition

Capacity: 10 persons

Space for everyone

The C57 offers three double cabins with private bathroom and shower, plus a spacious saloon with a convertible sofa for two additional berths. Each cabin has storage for two people's luggage, individual reading lights and a ventilation hatch. Unlike smaller yachts, there is no need to clamber over each other. 10 people live together comfortably.

The cockpit: the outdoor living room

The teak aft deck of the C57 is the social hub of the boat. A large table at which everyone can sit together at once, generous seating on both sides, a sun awning shading against the midday sun. The swim platform at the stern sits at water level — perfect for swimming, snorkelling and handling the dinghy. Most guests spend the majority of their day here.

The saloon: comfort below decks

The saloon of the C57 is unusually spacious for a sailing yacht of this size. A full galley with gas hob, oven, refrigerator and freezer. A large dining table. Good ventilation through deck hatches. A navigation station with plotter, AIS, VHF radio and all modern electronics. On rainy days or in the evenings, the saloon is a genuinely pleasant place to be.

Technical equipment

The C57 is equipped with everything a professional charter operator and guests need:

- Full navigation package (chartplotter, AIS, radar, depth sounder)

- Autopilot (essential for longer crossings)

- VHF radio

- Watermaker (converts seawater to drinking water)

- Solar panels

- Generator

- All required safety equipment

Williams dinghy: indispensable for adventure

The Williams dinghy is an inflatable wooden-keeled tender with a reliable outboard engine. Not merely a safety boat — it is your taxi to Lalaria beach, to the harbour taverna, to the snorkelling spot behind the rock. Without a dinghy you miss half of the island experience.

Safety for 10 persons

Correctly sized life jackets for each of the 10 passengers. Automatic life raft for emergency situations. EPIRB emergency locator beacon that automatically broadcasts your position in the event of a disaster. Flares. First aid kit. Fire extinguishers. The skipper checks all safety equipment before every charter.

Why the C57 and not a smaller boat?

Many charter operators offer smaller boats for 6 or 8 people. Smaller means cheaper, but also less comfort per person. On a 40-foot boat for 8 people, the cabin is narrow, the saloon is cramped and the cockpit is too small for a group. The C57 gives every guest the space to feel at home — and that space is the difference between a nice holiday and an unforgettable one.
